Happy Thanksgiving

The day started at 8. Andrea came over with bagels to get us moving. It was a full day of cooking. We had a nice meal and relaxed with the game and also the movie Moonstruck Liz loved it. Just as the night was winding down we heard gunfire yup gunfire. Rapid fire it was really scary David was outside. He came running back home from the 7/11 down the street. We and a neighbor contacted police and they started a search, by car and also by helicopter. They didn't find anyone or any bodies.yet.

Water Fowl Festival

The choice was between a warm rainy Saturday or a cold rainy Sunday. It looked like there was no escaping the rain. We decided Saturday was the better of the two days. we got there around 2pm after a leisurely breakfast at silver diner with Dave.
Liz came with us , first stop was the yarn shop to check it out.Very nice but no Noro yarn or Polar fleece for Pa tricks hat. I ordered it when we got home.Red and Blue can you believe they don't make a white, we need the Buffalo Bills colors.
Well, the weather was wonderfully warm and sunny. Reston was having the rain instead. Too bad Family, see what happens when you pass on the weekend adventure to Easton MD! We had dinner at Olive Garden before we got home.
Sunday was dedicated to laundry and baking bread. I made a Oatmeal and pumpkin bread. I wan't very impressed at all. It will get eaten but, I won't make it again. Oh, well got to try it once, twice if I like it. Don't like it.
Got to go, Jeff Dunham's Christmas Special is on comedy central, funny guy.

Hats for baby Cyrus

Time sure has a way of getting away from me.Over the weekend Andrea and I cleaned the basement. She will be moving in over Christmas it will help her save money and get her car payed off. All the kids will be moving over the holidays.I think Adrienne, Patrick and Chris will live together and share expences.

Here's a photo of baby Cyrus, and the hat I knit for him. It's made of alpaca wool. I made him a new one out of polor fleece in Red. It looks like this brown one won't fit much longer.I'll be shopping this weekend for more polar fleece to knit Patrick a hat in the Bill's colors.

Weekend with the Fam!

It's been an uneventful weekend very relaxing on Saturday the family came over for an impromptu brunch. We visited a while and I supervised Adrienne's sewing. She's making a scrub jacket for work. I watched some of Pride and Predigest I think I fell asleep at some point. The kids came over in the late afternoon and Christopher made us a nice dinner.
Today we went to Jimmy's Old town tavern in Herndon Va. We watched the Bills game with a few folks from western New york. Maybe a hundred or so die hard bills fans. We had real buffalo wings and felt like we were back in upstate NY
Dr. Na brought in a photos of her son Cyrus to show me, he was wearing the hat I made him. So cool! It looked like it was getting a little small. I made a new hat for him Saturday he grew out of his newborn hat rather fast, this red polar fleece hat will hopefully keep him warm throughout the winter.
Well, time to get things organized for the work week.
